Trustees Climate Cafe

According to research by Yale Climate Connections, most Americans don’t think they can affect what corporations do about global warming.  However, more than half (54%) are at least “moderately confident” that people like them, working together, can affect what local businesses in the community do.

Join area high school and college students to talk about what we expect from our local businesses and organizations and how we can recognize and promote those who are working to make a difference amidst our changing climate. Which restaurants support local farmers?  Which shops use recyclable packaging?  What progress are we making in schools?  Which commercial landlords have switched to renewable energy?  What community organizations are serious about conserving energy and water, reducing food waste, and eliminating plastic bottles/straws?
